Your new carpet is a substantial investment and like your other fine furnishings, requires proper care to keep it attractive over the years to come. You can protect your investment, prolong the life of your carpet and enhance the quality of your indoor environment by establishing a regular maintenance schedule. A comprehensive carpet care program consists of four elements: preventative measures, regular vacuuming, spot cleaning and steam cleaning. To assist your warranty please read the care instructions carefully.
What are the practical benefits of a synthetic carpet?
Carpets like those in the Adeline collection, which are made from synthetic fibres, come with a number of benefits. Firstly, because the polyester fibres have been solution-dyed during the production process, this locks in colour for a rich, vibrant finish. This makes the carpet less susceptible to fading and means they are well-suited to areas with a lot of natural sunlight.
Coupled with this, synthetic materials are a way of striking the right balance between comfort and cost. Offering a high-end luxury feel underfoot, without the expenditure associated with wool products, Adeline carpets promise a great look and feel for less.
Adeline carpets also have the added advantage of a cut twist pile. Their resistance to pile crushing helps the carpet to retain its look and finish for longer, making it ideally suited to active family living. It also means the fibres are less likely to shed with wear, reducing the need to vacuum.
What styling benefits does this carpet offer?
The Adeline collection is part of the Real Living range, which has been beautifully designed by Carpet Court ambassador, TV personality and seasoned home renovator Shelley Craft.
Featuring 10 natural, earthy tones, Adeline carpets bring the outside in, creating a sense of relaxed luxury. They’re ideal if you’re looking to channel a beachy, Hamptons style, with paler shades like Linen brightening the space. Alternatively, if yours is a very active home, darker tones like Satinwood or Burlap can help to camouflage marks.
How do I care for this carpet?
Keep your Adeline carpet looking as good as new by vacuuming regularly to pick up any dry debris or dirt. This prevents grains from becoming embedded in the fibres, which can cause them to wear down over time and create unsightly patches. To clean deep down into the pile, we also recommend treating your Adeline carpet to a steam clean every 12 to 18 months.
In the case of spills or more serious stains, make sure you address them as quickly as possible. Try using hot water and a clean cloth in the first instance. Blot rather than rub the stain, working from the outside in to prevent the stain from spreading or the carpet from becoming worn down. View our online care and cleaning guide for more information.
