Does Aqua-Tuf Standard flooring really look and feel like real Timber?

Yes. Aqua-Tuf’s hard surface layer looks and feels remarkably like real timber. Employing leading high tech manufacturing technology, the surface layer of each plank is finished with a protective film layer that is embossed with a textured timber grain, loved by architects and designers alike.

The range is perfect to suit any interior, and the planks are finished with a square edge to further enhance its natural timber appearance.

What shades are in the Hybrid Aqua-Tuf Standard flooring?

This exciting new range covers the gamut of on-trend looks and designs that are classic and contemporary. If you love the look of timeless Scandinavian style, look to colours such as Blackbutt, Chestnut and Natural Oak.

These lighter shades allow you to create a beautifully calming neutral interior, and you can add your own personal touches by styling the flooring with darker furniture for contrast, and pops of seasonal colours to keep the look up to date.

If you’d prefer the warmer timber tones, Ironbark and Spotted Gum are perfect.

Darker flooring creates a feeling of luxury and warmth, and brings a richness and masculinity to a contemporary interior. Dramatic shades such as Pewter feature subtle undertones of blue, and are extremely versatile to style. Simply enhance and soften the look by adding soft furnishings in simple textures and contrasting light colours.

Is there much preparation needed for installation?

Not at all. The waterproof wood-plastic composite core is manufactured to create a rigid plank that can hides imperfections in the surface underneath. Not only does it look better when laid, it’s much quicker to install, as minimal subfloor preparation is needed.

Plus, it is designed as a floating floor system, so no glue is required during installation, while the waterproof board negates the need for a moisture barrier underneath. Aqua-Tuf follows the same easy installation process as laminate. Boards can be scored to snap easily, and the floor can be walked upon as soon as it is laid.
