Frequent vacuuming removes soil particles from the surface before they work their way below the pile surface. It is recommended to vacuum at least once a week and more for a heavy traffic area. It is recommended to use either upright vacuums or quality barrel vacuums. Extra care must be taken in heavy traffic areas, including entrance areas. What are the practical benefits of this carpet?
If you’re looking to invest in a carpet that is designed for longevity, you can’t go far wrong with 100 per cent wool, available within the Bakers Creek carpet collection.
Wool’s natural resistance to stains makes a Bakers Creek carpet ideal for installation in active homes, where accidents can be commonplace. The fibres’ natural arrangement helps to keep stains on the surface of the pile making them easier to clean.
Coupled with this, Bakers Creek’s textured loop pile creates a distinct, patterned finished, which is able to provide some camouflage for both stains, footprint marks and tracking.
The textured loop pile also brings added benefits in terms of durability. Loop piles are created using a single piece of material, which provides greater resilience to heavy foot traffic, enabling them to retain their finish more effectively. This makes Bakers Creek carpet an ideal option for areas where foot traffic is high, such as entranceways, stairways and living spaces.
What are the style benefits of this carpet?
The entire range has been expertly curated by interior designers. With its 100 per cent wool fibres offering both a luxury look and feel, the Bakers Creek collection’s distinct textured loop pile adds interest to the room’s base.
Featuring a spectrum of muted earthy tones, from delicate Shell to Delta’s hint of khaki, through to the deep granite of Alluvial, Bakers Creek’s timeless neutrals bring a sense of sophistication to any space.
How do I care for this carpet?
Prevention is always better than cure when it comes to carpet care and there are a few things you can do to keep your Bakers Creek carpet looking fresh from day-to-day.
Regular vacuuming helps to ensure dry debris doesn’t become trapped in the pile, which can cause damage to the fibres over time. And to reach the places even a vacuum cleaner can’t, we recommend treating your Bakers Creek carpet to a deep steam clean once every 12 to 18 months. If you’re looking to install a Bakers Creek style in high traffic areas, some strategically placed rugs can helps to minimise wear and fading.
In the instance a spillage occurs or a more stubborn stain appears, make sure you address it as soon as possible for damage control. Use warm water, an appropriate wool cleaning product and a soft cloth to gently blot the stain, working from the inside out. This technique helps to prevent the stain from spreading and the carpet from wearing down.
