How easy is it to clean timber floating floorboards?
Cleaning your timber floor is simple with the proper tools. For a quick clean, dry mopping with a microfibre mop or an electrostatic cloth will easily and efficiently remove dust, dirt, pet hair and small particles.
For a more thorough clean, vacuum with a hardwood floor brush attachment. Ensure you have the correct vacuum head attachment for your floating floorboards as the wrong vacuum head can scratch the timber.
Clean up spills promptly and if you need to use something more than a dry mop or vacuum, ensure it is a product designated for your type of floor. Wiping with a damp cloth followed by a dry cloth is generally suitable but mopping with a wet mop is not recommended for a timber floating floors.
Follow the manufacturer’s care instructions supplied when your floor is installed, and you will have a clean, beautiful timber floating flooring for years to come.
