Why choose laminate as a floating flooring option?

If you love the look of real timber, but find your budget won’t stretch that far, laminate floating flooring is the perfect substitute. Boutique Laminate gives you look of natural timber flooring at a fraction of the price.

How similar is the look of Boutique Laminate to real timber floors?

High quality laminate such as the Boutique laminate collection looks so much like real wood, it can be quite difficult to tell the difference. The only real giveaway is that real hardwood damages more easily than laminate, so if you see a floor covered in small dents and gouges, it is most likely hardwood. Laminate also doesn’t stain easily the way natural wood does. This is good news if you’ve been dreaming of transforming your floors with the luxurious look of timber floating flooring, but prefer floating floors that are easy to maintain and won’t break the bank.

How are Boutique laminate floating floors made?

The Boutique laminate floating floor range is crafted with great precision in Europe and consists of four different layers.

The top layer is a transparent, wear-resistant overlay, which is designed to give you maximum protection against stains, scratches and damages from impact such as falling objects or the enemey of all floating floorboards - high heels.

The second layer is where the decorative look enters the picture. This features a high-resolution photograph of real wood colours, grains and knots that is reproduced with high-tech printing techniques and finished with melamine resin. An extremely durable and stable moisture-resistant, glued HDF core board forms the third layer, while the fourth layer guarantees a perfectly balanced board that won’t cup or bow when properly installed and maintained.
