Prompt and immediate attention to any spillages or stains is paramount to avoid the penetration of a stain into the carpet fibres. Liquids (particularly hot liquids) must be attended to immediately. If allowed to cool or dry, the stain will be almost impossible to remove. Care must be taken as haphazard attempts at spot removal can cause permanent stain setting, pile distortion and loss of colour. More detailed information on how to care for your carpet can be found by downloading the full product brochure here.
How do I know which type of carpet will be best for my home?
With so many different carpet options available, we know that choosing just the right one for your particular needs can be confusing. And as carpet is such a key design decision, and one you’ll be living with for years to come, it’s important to be happy that you’ve made the right decision.
That’s where Australia’s carpeting experts can help
Carpet Court recommends that while the look is obviously important, it shouldn’t actually be the main driver for your final decision. Instead, look at how your lifestyle meshes with a particular carpet style. For instance, if you have an active family, with lots of little kids and pets running around, you’ll definitely be wanting carpet that’s durable and easy to clean, such as those in the Princeton range. This synthetic carpet is extremely family friendly, affordable and very durable, so it’s a great choice for children’s bedrooms or areas where spills are common.
Is Princeton Carpet a good choice for high traffic areas?
Princeton Carpet is designed especially to withstand whatever your family can dish out. As it is a synthetic carpet, and features a loop pile, it is very easy to look after and keep clean, making it a very popular choice for families.
Should I install Princeton Carpet in a children’s bedroom?
Thanks to the material used, Princeton Carpet is beautifully soft to walk on, so it’ll provide a lot of warmth and comfort for children to play on.
What are the design benefits of a textured carpet?
As our own design guru and Carpet Court ambassador Darren Palmer will tell you, you should never underestimate the importance of adding texture to your home. Carpet such as the Princeton range is the perfect way to bring an element of texture into a room, giving it more depth and visual interest. On a more practical level, because of the textures in the carpet, it’s less likely to show any wear patterns. Style your Princeton textured carpet with chunky soft furnishings or throw rugs for cohesive designer style.
What sort of colour palette does the Princeton range offer?
The Princeton carpet range is available in 7 on-trend colours. The palette is regarded as neutral, which is a very contemporary look in today’s interiors.
Black or dark grey may not be a colour you have considered before, but if you want to make an impactful design statement, the Princeton Phantom, Zurich or Storm is a bold choice. The beauty of a darker palette is that you can add your own style touches to what is an extremely sophisticated floor canvas with furniture and soft furnishings in contrasting light colours. In homes with brown carpet such as the Phantom Aztec, Rapture and Montego, the feeling is more earthy and organic. This look is very warm and inviting, and surprisingly, these colours are hugely versatile, as every shade of brown contains notes of red, yellow and blue – all primary colours – which makes it easy to coordinate with existing décor and accessorise with the latest colours.
Do I need underlay?
Carpet Court wants you to be 100% happy with the purchase of your Princeton carpet, and one way to ensure that is to install underlay. Underlay adds an extra layer of comfort to your new flooring, and also protects your carpet from wear and tear. It’s also a great added extra if you want to save energy, as depending on its thickness and density, it can help cut reduce your energy bill by preventing the loss of heat through the floor. If you have a lot of foot traffic in your home, underlay is a simple, yet effective solution for reducing the noise of footsteps, as it absorbs the impact.
