Warranty Information

All Quick-Step laminate flooring is sold with a 25 year residential wear warranty from the date of purchase.
The warranty covers wear through of the surface of the floor (show through of the HDF core) in an single area greater than 1cm² within 25 years. Quick Step laminate flooring installation instructions must be followed closely when installing your Quick-Step floor and Quick-Step laminate flooring care & maintenance guidelines should be followed at all times after your flooring is installed. Installation instructions can be found inside each pack of Quick-Step flooring and care & maintenance guidelines can be obtained by contacting your Quick-Step retailer (place of purchase) at any time.

Care Instructions

Keeping your internal environment “laminate friendly” is important. The area should be well ventilated, occupied and protected from extreme sunlight and extreme swings of humidity and temperature. Failure to provide such an environment can lead to fading, excessive expansion / contraction (gaps) or noisy floors. What is Quickstep laminate flooring?

Quickstep laminate flooring gives you the look of natural timber flooring at a fraction of the price, which why it’s a real favourite amongst designers and do-it-yourselfers. Built around a watertight, glued High Density Fibreboard, Quickstep Laminate flooring consist of four different layers.

The first is a transparent, wear-resistant overlay, which gives great protection against stains, impact, scratches, burns and household chemicals.

The second layer is a design layer, which features a high-resolution photo of real wood that is reproduced with sophisticated printing techniques and finished with melamine resin. Underneath this is an extremely durable and stable moisture-resistant, glued HDF core board. The fourth and final section is a balancing layer, which guarantees a perfectly balanced board that won’t cup or bow when properly installed and maintained.

Laminate vs carpet

The choice between a hard flooring such as laminate or carpet depends on your personal design preferences and certain lifestyle factors. If you have an active young family and you know your floors will be prone to dirty footprints or constant spills, laminate is a great choice as it’s exceptionally easy to keep clean, even in high traffic areas. The water-resistant, glued base plate and the tensile strength of the Quickstep Laminate click systems also provides excellent splash-proof protection against surface moisture.

Hard flooring such a timber is also seen by many designers as a high-end and luxurious flooring choice, and laminate gives you the opportunity to introduce the look of real timber, without breaking the bank.

What about scratching or denting?

The patented, protective Scratch Guard top layer of Quickstep Laminate flooring ensures you’ll enjoy your beautiful, natural-looking floor for years to come. The ultra-resistant layer makes Quick-Step laminate flooring up to ten times more resistant to micro scratches, and gives you the best possible protection against damage from falling objects – even high heels.

Will the colour of my laminate flooring fade over time?

No. When exposed to normal levels of sunlight, Quickstep Laminate flooring  will keep its original tone, year after year. So if you like to move your furniture around from time to time, you don’t have to worry about a section of your floor looking paler in different spots.

Is Laminate flooring a good choice for allergy sufferers?

Absolutely. Every Quick-Step Laminate floor has been treated with an antistatic surface, so your floor will attract significantly less dust than other floors.

Which shade of Laminate will suit my home?
