Care Instructions

Your new carpet is a substantial investment and like your other fine furnishings, requires proper care to keep it attractive over the years to come. You can protect your investment, prolong the life of your carpet and enhance the quality of your indoor environment by establishing a regular maintenance schedule. A comprehensive carpet care program consists of four elements: preventative measures, regular vacuuming, spot cleaning and steam cleaning. More detailed information on each of these elements can be found in the product brochure attached here.

What are the practical benefits of a synthetic carpet?

Carpets like those in the Cornerstone collection, which are made from 100% nylon, come with a number of benefits. If budget is a particular concern, then this carpet is a fantastic option. Its plush, soft nature means that you get the lux feel for less.

Coupled with this, synthetic materials are a way of striking the right balance between comfort and cost. Offering a high-end luxury feel underfoot, without the expenditure associated with wool products, Cornerstone carpets promise a great look and feel for less.

Where is this carpet best suited to?

With their plush pile, Cornerstone carpets are ideally suited to any room of the home where you want to inject a little extra luxury, such as the master bedroom, your home office and the living room.

Featuring earthy tones, Cornerstone carpets bring the outside in, creating a sense of relaxed luxury, while also providing a neutral base from which you can design your space.

How do I care for this carpet?

Keep your Cornerstone carpet looking as good as new by vacuuming regularly to pick up any dry debris or dirt. This prevents grains from becoming embedded in the fibres, which can cause them to wear down over time and create unsightly patches. To clean deep down into the pile, we also recommend treating your Cornerstone carpet to a steam clean every 12 to 18 months.

In the case of spills or more serious stains, make sure you address them as quickly as possible. Try using hot water and a clean cloth in the first instance. Blot rather than rub the stain, working from the outside in to prevent the stain from spreading or the carpet from becoming worn down.

More information on caring for your carpet can be viewed on our online cleaning and care guide.

How do I know how much product I’ll need?

Our website product pages provide you with a very indicative cost of carpeting your room with three rooms based on “industry average” sizes. Please note that these are approximate costs only. We can help you get a better idea of how much it will cost to carpet your space by organising a free in-home measure and quote. This service is where one of our professional staff will measure your space and provide a final price for your chosen carpet style. You can book an appointment from this page or contact your local Carpet Court store, where a team member will be happy to help.
