Care Instructions

No carpet lasts forever or is 100% stain proof, however with regular vacuuming and care, years can be extended to the performance and appearance of your new carpet. Act immediately to any spillages or stains. Avoid penetration of stain into the carpet fibre. Liquids (particularly hot liquid) must be attended to immediately. Failure to do so could result in permanent stain setting, pile distortion and possible loss of colour. More details on carpet care can be viewed and downloaded here.

What are the practical benefits of this carpet?

Made from 100% wool, Creekwood carpets benefit from the fibres’ naturally stain-resistant properties. Coupled with this, their looped arrangement makes it more difficult for stains to penetrate down into the pile, so accidental spills are easier to clean.

Creekwood carpets’ looped construction also creates a durable finish that does not readily retain signs of footprints or indentations. They’re, therefore, a suitable option for areas where foot traffic is high.

While wool carpets are traditionally more expensive than synthetic varieties, the initial investment is actually relatively cost-effective when considering the extensive lifespan wool carpets offer.

What kind of space is this carpet suited to?

Aiming to bring a sense of luxury to any space, Creekwood carpets are made from 100% wool, for a luxurious feel and warmth underfoot.

Their modulated loop pile offers a sculpture look, with its varying height and weight creating a visual pattern that brings texture to the room’s base.

If your space benefits from lots of natural light, paler colours like Bokhara Beige and Candlewick can help to make floors look even more expansive. Dark colours, such as Thunder Cloud or Claystone, on the other hand, work effectively to camouflage marks, making them well-suited to areas with high foot traffic.

How do I care for this carpet?

Keep your Creekwood carpet looking as good as new by vacuuming regularly to pick up any dry debris or dirt. This prevents grains from becoming embedded in the fibres, which can cause them to wear down over time and create unsightly patches. To clean deep down into the pile, we also recommend treating your Creekwood carpet to a steam clean every 12 to 18 months too.

In the case of spills or more serious stains, make sure you address them as quickly as possible. Use an appropriate wool cleaning product and blot rather than rub the stain, working from the outside in to prevent the stain from spreading or the carpet from becoming worn down.

It’s also worth bearing in mind that wool is less resistant to UV rays than synthetic fibres. You can keep your Creekwood carpet colour rich by closing blinds or curtains on particularly sunny days. Investing in rugs can also help to shield areas from excessive exposure to sunlight.
