To keep your carpet looking and feeling its best there are three important things you must do: 1) Vacuum at least once a week, or more in heavy traffic areas, to remove dirt particles before they become embedded in the carpet pile; 2) Treat spills straight away; 3) A professional ‘deep’ or restorative cleaning treatment once every 12-18 months will do wonders to protect your carpet pile and enhance its beauty. More detailed information on caring for your carpet can be found and downloaded here.
Where is this carpet best suited to?
Heavy-duty cut twist pile carpets, as featured in the Edge collection, work well in most areas of the home – even those which experience high levels of foot traffic. Their resistance to pile crushing helps the carpet to retain its look and finish for longer, making it ideally suited to active family living. It also means the fibres are less likely to shed with wear, reducing the need to vacuum.
Available in a selection of warm neutrals and deeper, inky tones, Edge carpets help to create a versatile base for any room. Inspired by the outdoors, colours used within the Edge collection also help to camouflage the marks and dirt that are often a by-product of active family living.
What are the benefits of this carpet?
The Edge carpet is a solution dyed nylon carpet that is available in a range of beautiful earthy colours. Alabaster is a great option if you are looking for a lighter colour to give the illusion of more space whilst the pinkish tones of sand trail will inject a pop of colour into your space. Darker options are also available with bunkhouse, muddy river, bearskin and silica for a more dramatic flair. Whether you want a light, medium or darker tone for your room, Edge provides the colour options at an affordable price.
How do I care for this carpet?
Keep your Edge carpet looking as good as new by vacuuming regularly to pick up any dry debris or dirt. This prevents grains from becoming embedded in the fibres, which can cause them to wear down over time and create unsightly patches. To clean deep down into the pile, we also recommend treating your Edge carpet to a steam clean every 12 to 18 months.
In the case of spills or more serious stains, make sure you address them as quickly as possible. Try using hot water and a clean cloth in the first instance. Blot rather than rub the stain, working from the outside in to prevent the stain from spreading or the carpet from becoming worn down.
Caring for your new carpet is very important. For this reason, we have created a guide to cleaning and care after installation which can be viewed online.
