What are the benefits of vinyl flooring?
Designed exclusively for Carpet Court, the Home Sweet Home collection combines both style and practicality.
Not only does it offer the look of real timber for a fraction of the cost, but it is also highly durable. Able to withstand high and continuous foot traffic, Home Sweet Home vinyl is ideal for the busiest areas of the home, such as hallways and living areas.
Its ability to withstand moisture also makes it a good flooring choice for laundries, kitchens and bathrooms, and because of its ultra-hygienic, scratch-resistant coating, it’s suitable for playrooms too.
Can I install vinyl plank myself?
Installing vinyl plank is a relatively simple DIY project. Each individual plank comes with pre-fixed adhesive backing, so it can be easily fixed to the floor. All you need to do is align the planks with the wall, slot together and press down. You can also stagger the joints as required by cutting planks using a utility knife.
What’s more, planks can even be fitted directly on top of your existing sub-floor to minimise upheaval.
If you’d prefer an entirely fuss-free solution, Carpet Court can arrange for one of our flooring experts to install your vinyl – simply find your nearest store using our store locator and speak to a team member.
How do I care for vinyl plank?
Home Sweet Home vinyl is easy to care for – simply give it a regular sweep to prevent any debris from building up. A weekly mop using an appropriate cleaning product will also help to get rid of more stubborn marks.
Vinyl can be susceptible to fading over time if it is routinely exposed to direct sunlight. To prolong the look of your vinyl flooring, remember to dip blinds or draw curtains on particularly sunny days.
Further information on warranty and care instructions can be found in the product description.
