What are some of the features/physical qualities of the carpets made from ECONYL® Regenerated Nylon?
A: Carpet Court’s eight new and exclusive ranges using ECONYL® regenerated nylon share the same qualities and benefits as Solution Dyed Nylon (SDN) carpets. From stain resistance to colour fast resistance and antistatic protection, ECONYL® regenerated nylon is an affordable, eco-friendly, and high value solution to flooring.

What are some of the benefits (environmental, design, lifestyle & budget) of installing ECONYL® Regenerated Nylon?
A: There is one key difference between a typical SDN carpet, and one made from ECONYL® Regenerated Nylon; the ECONYL® fibre production process restores nylon from old waste products - including fish nets, fabric scraps and carpets – that would otherwise end up in landfill or the ocean. Available exclusively to Carpet Court, each range made from ECONYL® regenerated nylon removes the need for petrochemicals to be used in the manufacturing process, while still creating a lush and versatile carpet that can suit any home, lifestyle, design, and budget.

How do you best tend to your ECONYL® Regenerated Nylon to keep them in pristine condition?
A: As with any flooring, you will need to care for carpets made from ECONYL® regenerated nylon with regular vacuuming, especially after they are freshly laid. To remove any spills, spot clean with cold water and press dry in the affected area. Install protecting matting at entrances and carry out periodic deep cleaning every 18-months to keep it in optimal condition and ensure longevity.

Tell us about the colourways in each range - how do the different colours, and warm/cool undertones enhance a space?
A: Carpets made from ECONYL® regenerated nylon are incredibly versatile and hardwearing by construction, but also by design. Coming in four collections –Performance, Textured, Premium soft and Ultimate soft – each offers a durable and trustworthy solution to soft flooring.

Within the collections, there are 14 product ranges made by Australian manufacturers - Cosmos, Latitude, Epicurean, Splendor, Epitome, Renowned, Ocean, Mythic, Torpedo, Focus, Beyond, Genesis, Alchemist and Expanse. Featuring deep charcoals and greys, Genesis and Expanse not only add a touch of sophistication, but offer durability and fade resistant qualities, creating the perfect foundation for luxurious interiors and high-traffic environments.

Soft underfoot, Cosmos, Mythic and Epitome balance durability and supreme comfort with their warm beige tones, complementing a bright space with light colored furniture.

With so many varieties of textures and colours - from warm to cool tones, and plush or cut pile to large contemporary loops - there is a carpet available for every interior style and scheme. The versatility and broad range of carpets made from the ECONYL® regenerated nylon means that there is no sacrifice in style – irrespective of your preferred mood and your household’s requirements.

In addition to versatility, the key benefit to choosing carpet made from ECONYL® regenerated nylon is that you can make an eco-friendlier selection for your home’s soft flooring solutions, without having to make a sacrifice or adjustment to its aesthetic. It makes it an easy decision when looking to create your perfect home, whilst also caring for the environment.

Which range is best for a contemporary home? Which is best for traditional homes?
A: Traditional homes can include almost any style of carpet from the range, from cut piles such as Ocean and Mythic or Splendor and Epicurean or more textured loops such as Expanse or Genesis.

Contemporary styled homes can embrace one of the more contemporary styled carpets; the beautiful and uniform loop of Expanse provides a soft and luxurious look that fits perfectly into a modern home. Of course, plush or cut piles look great in all environments and there is no one answer to creating the perfect look to suit your home.

What carpets (type and colour) are suited to a robust household, particularly those with children, and why?
A: Carpets created with colour variation are generally the most appropriate inclusions for a robust household as the variation allows for a more forgiving base for your home should there be any inevitable spills or accidents. A mid-toned carpet with both colour and textural variation will provide the most forgiving base, and due to its stain resistant qualities, a yarn such as ECONYL® nylon will allow for you to act quickly to best prevent damage.

Conscious consumerism is becoming a way of life, driving designers and manufacturers to respond by creating beautiful, innovative and cost-effective products that don’t use additional resources in the creative process. It’s encouraging to see an innovative product like ECONYL® yarn constructed carpets being made so readily available across Australia thanks to Carpet Court, allowing everyday homeowners to make eco-conscious decisions without sacrificing on style or quality.
