Does Mondo Laminate really look like real timber?
With its timeless appeal, natural appearance and warmth underfoot, it’s little wonder interior designers and homeowners love the look of timber. However, real timber flooring can be expensive, so if you’re looking for a suitable alternative, Mondo Laminate is the perfect choice. This stunning collection offers all the character and appeal of real timber at a fraction of the price.
Carpet Court’s Mondo Laminate range boasts an array of colours and grains that evoke the look of Nordic Ash, Maple and Pine. Traditional square edges, distinctive grain patterns and a rich colour palette ensure a sleek finish and gives the Mondo Laminate collection a truly authentic look.
Can I install Mondo Laminate in high foot traffic areas?
Yes. The Mondo Laminate range has been designed to give you the best possible protection against damage from things such as falling objects and high heels. The floor is reinforced with a hardwearing top coat, which promises to deliver a high level of scratch resistance, making it especially suitable for areas of the home such as kitchens, hallways and living and dining areas.
Will the shade fade over time?
No. Mondo Laminate is very resistant to fading, so it will keep its original colour year after year even after being exposed to normal levels of sunlight. This is good news if you like to redecorate or move your furniture around a room from time to time, as you can do so without worrying about a section of the floor looking paler in different spots.
Can I install Mondo Laminate myself?
Absolutely. Even if you’re a novice do-it-yourselfer, Mondo Laminate is extremely simple to install. The secret is in the cleverly designed edges, which lets you create a seamless finish with no unsightly gaps. The Mondo Laminate boards use a unique locking system that allows them to be easily clicked together, so there’s no use for glue, screws or nails.
How easy is this flooring to maintain?
Laminate flooring has a reputation for being exceptionally low maintenance, and the Mondo collection is no exception. Once laid, it only requires minimal upkeep to keep it looking in top-notch condition. You can prevent dry debris from building up and causing damage over time to the floor’s surface just by giving the floor a regular sweep with a dry, micro fibre brush. To keep more stubborn stains at bay, just give it a wipe with a damp map occasionally. It’s that easy.
How many colours are available in the Mondo Laminate range?
Carpet Court’s Mondo Laminate range gives you the option of eleven sophisticated shades, all on the cutting edge of contemporary cool.
The shade you choose is entirely based on your own personal preference, but as you’ll be living with your Mondo Laminate flooring for many years to come, there a few design tips you should consider before you make your final decision.
If the look and ambience you want to achieve is one of classic sophistication, look to neutral shades such as Majestic Oak Natural, Luxury Oak Natural and Luxury Oak Silver. You can create designer impact by adding a single contrasting pop of colour, or add darker elements to create a more dramatic contrast.
Grey is a colour that is renowned for bringing a peaceful, calming mood to a space, and shades such as Lodge Pine Old Grey and Barrow Oak Silver showcase this on-trend look. Even better, when it comes to decorating, grey is very versatile as you combine it with almost any other colour without clashing.
If your space is slightly smaller, or you want to give a room a light, airy feel, you should consider Nordic Ash Lime. Much like a white wall, this lighter colour works like a blank canvas, leaving you free to accessorise with your own designer touches such as colourful rugs, furniture, soft furnishings and artwork without fear of the floor clashing.
To add richness and warmth to a contemporary interior, consider Scotch Oak Rustic and Palazzo Oak Walnut, which look stunning when accessorised with soft furnishings in simple textures and contrasted against light colours or white walls.
