What’s special about Orion Vinyl flooring?
Orion’s super wide luxury vinyl planks feature timber texture and grain you can see and feel. With a protective wear layer for added durability and easy installation options, Orion’s extensive colour library provides endless interior design opportunities for living and wet areas.
Why should I choose Vinyl flooring?
There are so many great reasons to choose vinyl flooring and with its quality, good looks and sophisticated colour range, it has enjoyed a renaissance amongst interior designers and do-it-yourselves alike.
While many of us really love the look of timber, it can work out to be an expensive option, so if your budget is tight, vinyl flooring is an obvious choice.
The beauty of Orion Vinyl flooring is that it gives you the look of natural timber materials – even down to the meticulous recreation of the knots and grains - for a fraction of the cost of the real thing.
Vinyl or laminate?
Laminate flooring also gives you a stunning timber look, but it’s not necessarily a great option for wet areas. The Orion Vinyl collection is extremely water-resistant, so you can be assured it won’t warp when coming into contact with water. This makes Orion perfect for wet areas such as bathrooms and laundries. And unlike many other flooring options, Orion Vinyl can be cleaned with a wet mop, so clean ups in busy areas are quick and easy.
Is this flooring designed to last?
Absolutely. Orion vinyl flooring is elegantly designed and expertly constructed to be exceptionally durable and able to easily withstand continuous high foot traffic. This range also features an ultra-hygienic top layer that gives it amazing resilience against scratches and stains so it’s a good choice for active families.
How does vinyl flooring feel underfoot?
Orion Vinyl flooring has an extra resilient construction that is designed to minimise noise so it’s whisper quiet to walk on. Even better, it also features a thick cushioning underfoot which makes walking on these floors extra comfortable.
If you like to run around barefoot, both in summer and in winter, Orion Vinyl flooring is perfect. This flooring is beautifully warm and soft to the touch, so it’s an absolute dream to walk on.
What are the advantages of a micro bevel edge?
Orion luxury vinyl flooring has micro bevel edges, which create a small V-shaped edge between boards. This design feature distinguishes each board and gives them an authentic floorboard finish, so your vinyl flooring will look as true to life as real timber for a fraction of the price.
What does a matte finish bring to the flooring?
The Orion Vinyl flooring range has a matte finish, which gives the flooring warmth and a more true to life timber look.
How well does this flooring perform in wet areas?
Exceptionally well in fact. Unlike timber, Orion vinyl is extremely water resistant, so now you can add luxury and sophisticated style to all wet areas including kitchens, bathrooms and laundries. And unlike other flooring options, Orion vinyl flooring can be cleaned with a wet mop, so it’s easy to keep your floors spick and span.
What sorts of shades are available in the Orion collection?
The Orion vinyl range is available in 12 true-to-life wood colours to suit any style of décor. If your design taste errs more towards the traditional side, look for warm timber shades such as Cinnamon, Sable and Riverstone. If you’re inspired by the look of a Scandinavian inspired interior, choose lighter shades such as Earl Grey, Silver Finch and Ghost. These lighter tones are also a good choice if you want to make a small room look bigger as they provide an impactful contrast against darker cupboards or furniture. For a more dramatic look, shades such as Vintage or Mink add instant sophistication.
