What makes Pryzm so special?
Construction. Four distinct layers provide Pryzm with the ultimate scratch, stain, fading and dent resistance – including an added backing for comfort and sound absorption. From gradual wear to harsher collisions, Pryzm will continue to look fresh. Unlike hardwood, which can easily become damaged if exposed to flooding, Pryzm's 100 per cent waterproof qualities easily withstand spills and stains. Even if it’s installed in high-moisture areas like bathrooms, laundries or kitchens, Pryzm planks won’t swell, buckle or lose integrity when met with extreme amounts of water. This waterproof*, dent-resistant core is an unparalleled feature that is unique to Pryzm.
Easy installation. From DIY fans to experts, Pryzm's interlocking planks are straightforward to position in any home. The system also includes a built in underlay to enable smooth placement over any subfloors with some irregularities.
Designer looks. Flooring provides the foundation for the overall look and feel of any home. The timeless aesthetic of Pryzm achieves a chic, on-trend and hyper-realistic result that effortlessly elevates even the most utilitarian spaces. And with several incredible colours and styles, Pryzm offers a wide array of options to ensure the right match for any home.
*substrates are not considered as waterproof

What areas of the house does Pryzm hybrid luxury flooring suit?
Some floating floors are not suitable for wet areas of the home. The beauty of laying a hybrid flooring product such as Pryzm is that it will perform with unbeatable versatility and durability in any room of the house. Being 100% waterproof means you can lay Pryzm in your bathroom, laundry and kitchen because it won’t swell, warp or lose form when it comes into contact with liquids such as water.
What does this mean? Continuous, seamless flooring throughout your home with no disjointed transitions across different surfaces. It means there is no need to panic if the kids spill a drink in the family room, but as with any surface you should clean it up promptly. It means sloshy baths with the toddlers are not an issue, but to minimise the risk of slipping you should mop up excess water.
What colours will I find in the Pryzm hybrid flooring range?
Available in eight inspiring colours to showcase every home interior, the Pryzm floor designs have vibrant flair and style reflecting the natural beauty of selected Australian species, European Oak and Mountain Ash flora.
Reflecting modern trends, the smoky hues of Mountain Ash Charred, Oceanside Oak, Mountain Ash Smoked and Seaspray Mist are perfect for complementing bold contrasting colours and fresh white shades. Mountain Ash Aged, Flooded Gum, Riverbank Oak and Coastal Spotted Gum bring sublime warmth and deep timber tones to create a visually authentic and beautifully stylish floor.
How do you lay hybrid floating floors?
Hybrid floors are considered to be floating because they are not fixed to the subfloor by nails or glue like other flooring types such as carpet or timber boards. Floating floors simply click or slot together in a click-lock system and ‘float’ above the subfloor. Expansion gaps are left adjacent to the walls which are lastly covered by skirting boards, moldings or trims.
If you are considering laying floating floors as a DIY project, it is important to closely follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions and to pay particular attention to the preparation stage.
Alternatively, we recommend using the experts – that is Carpet Court’s experience and knowledgeable installers – to have your new floating floor professionally laid in no time at all. The friendly staff at your local Carpet Court store will arrange this for you.
How should I clean a hybrid floating floor?
To ensure daily dust and debris don’t build up we recommend sweeping or vacuuming regularly using soft bristle brushes and vacuum attachments. If spills occur, wipe them up promptly and follow with a wet microfibre or a steam mop. For deeper cleaning spray and mop using a pH neutral cleaner. Always avoid cleaners that contain polish, wax or oil.
The knowledgeable staff at your local Carpet Court store will happily provide advice regarding the ongoing care and maintenance of your new Pryzm hybrid luxury floor to ensure a lifetime of optimum performance and beauty.
