What is Scenic Rise carpet made from?
Scenic Rise carpet incorporates the very latest technology in renewable carpet manufacturing. This eco-friendly range uses yarn made with Sorona renewably sourced polymer, which consists of 37% natural corn sugar.
Combined with exceptional stain resistance, colourfast protection, durability and ultra-softness, this collection is in a field of its own.
How is this eco-friendly carpet manufactured?
Don't you love the idea of a carpet that has come from the farm to your floor? The Redbook green® story begins in the cornfield. Corn is harvested and the natural corn sugar extracted. Extracted corn sugar is then processed and transformed into Sorona® renewable sourced™ polymer. The Sorona® polymer is extruded to make triexta yarn, which is then twisted and heat set. Finally the triexta yarn is tufted into Redbook green® carpet for your home.
Is Scenic Rise carpet easy to clean?
Scenic Rise carpet is an absolute dream to live with, especially if you have a young, active family and pets. Forget about all those complicated steps or nasty chemicals to clean your carpet. Anything you spill on your Redbook green® carpet can be cleaned with just cold water!
Scenic Rise carpet has extraordinary inbuilt stain and soil resistance so you can relax when entertaining friends and family at home without any ‘how will I clean this?’ moments. Just cold water on a cloth and blotting at the stain will leave your Scenic Rise carpet clean. That is one clever carpet!
What does Scenic Rise carpet feel like to walk on?
It’s so soft, it’s almost like walking on a cloud. The Scenic Rise carpet collection is equipped with Ultra Soft® technology that brings a whole new level of comfort to your floor. Run your hands through the exceptionally soft fibres and you’ll feel the difference immediately. The ultra soft feel is achieved with more individual filaments contained in each Redbook green® fibre.
I need a carpet that is ultra-durable. Does this carpet fit the bill?
Absolutely. Extremely hard wearing, crush resistant and resilient, Scenic Rise carpet is designed to withstand even the most demanding households.
This premium collection is manufactured with triexta, a new classification of carpet fibre. Unlike most other fibre types, the unique kinked molecular structure of triexta means Scenic Rise carpet will continue to bounce back into shape, even after years of foot traffic.
What about fading?
We’ve got that covered too. Scenic Rise carpet is extremely resistant to fading and performs well in areas of direct sunlight.
Designed for our harsh Australian climate, this carpet uses the latest deep dyeing technology where heat-infused colour is locked into each and every fibre.
Why choose carpet over other flooring types?
There are many benefits to choosing carpet such as Scenic Rise for your home. Elegant, comfortable and beautifully tactile, carpet is still one of the most popular floor coverings in Australia. People love the warmth and luxury a good quality carpet brings to a space, and with such a huge range of colours available, you can put your own style stamp on your décor.
Is it true that carpet can help reduce my energy costs?
Yes it is. With energy prices skyrocketing, we’re all looking for ways to reduce our heating and cooling costs, and carpet is certainly one of them. The reason is the insulation it brings to the floors. The insulation value of carpet can actually be up to ten times higher than that of other floor coverings, and you can increase the level of thermal insulation even more by installing underlay.
As uninsulated floors account for 10-20% of heat loss from a home, carpet helps reduce energy costs in heating and cooling when there is a temperature differential between the indoor air and that under the floor. Your carpeted floor feels beautifully warm underfoot, so it doesn’t always require the same amount of heating that a room with a smooth surface may.
