Each of the six styles within the collection – Sydney Blue Gum, Spotted Gum, Jarrah, Grey Ironbark, Blackbutt and Brush Box – is available in an extra-wide 186mm board, showcasing the full beauty and elegance of Australian hardwood. The range also features the patented Välinge click-locking system for ease of installation; which, combined with its micro-bevelled finish, further contributes to delivering a wholly seamless aesthetic.

What range of colour choice are available?

The range comprises six unique styles taken from traditional Australian timber species – Sydney Blue Gum, Spotted Gum, Jarrah, Grey Ironbark, Blackbutt and Brush Box. Each finish offers a distinct grain and gradient of tone that meshes flawlessly with a variety of colour palettes, bringing instant warmth to any room.

Why should I consider a Stockmans Ridge timber floor?

When it comes to quality flooring, timber is an investment worth making.

Due to its specially design structure and high stability, Stockmans Ridge flooring will retain a flat surface for its lifetime, guaranteeing to remain free from defects for 25 years. This level of durability ensures a look that will last for decades to come and is supported by the range’s Platinum Coating Technology. Its 14 acrylic coats offer reinforced dent and scratch resistance that make it ideal for use within high traffic areas, like hallways or living areas.

Coupled with this, the timeless finish provides a neutral base for any room, lending itself to the full range of colour palettes and interior styles, with its natural differences in grain and texture promising to bring individual character to any space. Exceptionally versatile, the timber floor offers an adaptable look that can be easily changed up with the addition of chunky knits rugs in winter or flat weave styles for the warmer months.

What’s more, with the trend for eco-friendly interiors on the rise once again, this option offers a unique way to bring some authentic green design into your home. Sustainably sourced from FSC certified plantations, it is harvested using environmentally viable production techniques, allowing renovators to bring the outside in, responsibly.

Its minimal maintenance is also one of its key attributes. Designed with busy living in mind, regular sweeping and the occasional damp mop is all that’s required to keep your floor in top condition.

How do I look after this timber floor?

While already exceptionally durable, there are some simple maintenance measures you can take to further extend the lifespan of your timber flooring. Regular sweeping, for example, either with a soft bristle or microfiber brush or using the brush attachment on a vacuum cleaner will prevent dirt and dust particles from building up, which can cause scratches in the material over time.

For tougher stains, use a well wrung mop and a non-abrasive, specialist floor cleaning product, but make sure not to flood the floor with water, as timber is a natural material that can warp when subjected to excess moisture. Similarly, it’s important to ensure any spills are cleaned up immediately to prevent water marks from forming.

Timber can also be susceptible to darkening from sun exposure, so some strategically placed rugs can help to maintain the wood’s tone, while also preventing beams from becoming worn or scratched in places where foot traffic is high. Move them around regularly to avoid patches of different colour.

It’s also wise to bear in mind that, although highly resistant to scratches thanks to its layers of tough, acrylic coating, the timber can become damaged by animal claws and high heeled shoes over time, so try to avoid these coming into contact with your flooring wherever possible.
