The nature of the maintenance will depend on the amount and type of traffic. It also depends on the design. A typical maintenance program for a standard home includes sweeping the floor daily wit a broom or vacuum and mopping monthly.
Scuff marks caused by dragging furniture can generally be wiped away. If these is any difficulty, add eucalyptus oil to a damp cloth and wipe scuff marks to remove any residue.

How do you lay hybrid floating floors?
Your new hybrid floating floor can be laid as a DIY project or by the qualified installers from your local Carpet Court store. Floating floors such as the Sunplank Aussie Species hybrid floor are not nailed or glued to the subfloor but simply click or slot together in a click-lock system so that they ‘float’ above the subfloor.
If you intend to lay your hybrid floating floors yourself, seek advice from the experienced, professional staff at your Carpet Court store first. To ensure an optimal, waterproof flooring solution it is vitally important to follow the manufacturer’s instructions in all installation stages, but particularly in the preparation stage. If the floor is improperly installed it can impact on the warranty conditions.
We recommend using your local Carpet Court store’s experienced, professional installers. They will have your new Sunplank floating floor professionally laid in no time at all.
How should I care for my Sunplank Aussie Species floor?
While hybrid flooring is incredibly durable, we recommend regular sweeping with a soft indoor broom and vacuuming with a hard floor vacuum attachment to prevent a build-up of dust and debris.
Remove spills, light stains and scuff marks with a damp cloth and mop once a month or as often as necessary using a pH neutral cleaning product. Always follow the manufacturer’s care instructions and do not use solvents or ammonia-based products to ensure years of enjoyment from your Sunplank Aussie Species hybrid floor.
