Where can laminate flooring be installed?
When choosing a laminate flooring product for your home, you should consider the individual qualities and characteristics available in different brands before deciding which is the best for your home environment.
Some laminates are more suited to high traffic areas and some are more resilient when it comes to things like fade resistance. Some laminates, like many in the Quick-Step collection, offer water resistance and others do not. If you are considering laminate for areas such as the kitchen and bathroom, our Quick-Step products Impressive Ultra, Colonial Plus and Eligna include a water-repellent HydroSeal coating.
Robust laminates such as the ‘Superior’ range are constructed with hardwearing layers of protective and decorative overlays, photographic replications, and core layers including high-density fibreboard. They are a durable, no-fuss flooring solution for busy family homes where an affordable, scratch resistant, hygienic and easy-care product is required.
What makes Superior laminate a good choice for my home?
Available in five stylish creations, Superior is manufactured by AFS Kronotex Laminate Floors in Germany and comes with a leading industry guarantee. It is a durable flooring solution reflecting inspiring designs and the striking beauty of real timber flooring without the sizeable price tag. It has a high level of scratch, stain and wear resistance, micro-bevelled edges and an embossed finish for an authentic timber look and feel.
Superior’s core strength and high-class rating means it is suitable for both residential and commercial settings, although it is not designed for wet areas such as bathrooms and laundries.
Is the Superior laminate range affordable?
Like all flooring products, whether it be carpet, timber, vinyl or anything else, there is a range of pricing structures to suit the variety of products. AFS Kronotex Superior Laminate is one of our best laminate products for families on a budget. For the material itself, not including installation, you can pay as little as $460 for a medium sized room, such as a lounge or dining room measuring approximately 3.5 metres x 4.5 metres.

What colours are available in the Superior range?
Inspired by the raw beauty and magnificence of the majestic oak tree, Superior comes in five designs reflecting the natural appeal of textured oak. Summer Oak Beige displays subtle tones and quiet elegance, bringing a versatile colour base to your interior palette.
Summer Oak Nature creates a warm and inviting ambience. It perfectly contrasts a cool colour scheme, adding a nurturing feel to contemporary décor. Trend Oak Grey is well named as it is the perfect floor for trending grey and white interiors as is the cool and classy Century Oak Grey. Trend Oak Nature combines many comforting brown hues to blend beautifully with other natural earthy tones in the room.
Are laminate floors easy to maintain?
Superior laminate has been designed with low maintenance in mind. It simply requires some easy maintenance to provide you with many years of durable, stunning flooring. You can make the maintenance even easier by placing rugs at entranceways and in high traffic areas.
Sweep regularly with a soft bristle indoor broom, a micro fibre brush or vacuum with a hard floor brush attachment to remove everyday dirt and dust and prevent build-up.
Mop as needed using a damp mop and a non-abrasive cleaner to remove stains, footprints and stubborn dirt. Always clean spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth.
You should always follow the manufacturer’s care instructions, and never use abrasive cleaners, bleaches, oils, soaps, waxes or polishes as these may damage the finish on your laminate floor.
Can Carpet Court install laminate floating floors for me?
Installing laminate floating floors is fairly simple, and can easily be undertaken as a DIY project. The laminate boards require no screws or nails, simply clicking together and locking into place above the subfloor for a seamless finish.
If DIY is not an option for you, Carpet Court can arrange a highly experienced installation expert to install your laminate floating floors for you. The beauty of that, aside from not having to do it yourself, is that you can rest assured that every inch of your floor will reflect a professional installation and a flawless, ‘superior’ finish.
