Why choose laminate floating floors for my living area?

Living areas are subject to high foot traffic, meaning they demand a floor covering which is designed with durability in mind. Vue Laminate floating floors offer an exceptional level of resistance, not only in relation to the wear and tear of daily footfall, but also to scratches, stains, fading and moisture; giving you the look, feel and durability of real timber at a fraction of the cost.

They are the perfect flooring solution for busy homes, where bustling family activity can put your floor coverings to the test!

As a floor covering, laminate is a low maintenance product which is simple to maintain. A quick but regular sweep with a soft indoor broom or a microfibre broom and the occasional wipe over with a damp cloth is all that is required to keep your laminate floating floors looking marvellous.

Laminate is also great for bringing a cohesive aesthetic to your home, as it’s both a practical and stylish solution that unites living and dining spaces, hallways and kitchens.

What colours and styles are available in this range of flooring?

Vue Laminate floating floor’s premium look and feel is created by its long, wide planks, which are drawn from a mix of mountain, highland and provincial oak species.

Comprising 10 quality styles in a variety of autumnal shades, the colour range spans from fresh, light Mountain Oak Snow White and Highland Oak Pearl Grey through a selection of mid-range natural oak shades all the way to the rich, lustrous tones of Mountain Oak Heritage Brown, evoking a warm ambience in any room. All styles feature an embossed grain, to authentically replicate the look and feel of real timber floors. They have a matte finish and micro bevelled edging to create a stunning, seamless aesthetic.

Regardless of your interior style, the range of colours in the Vue floating flooring collection will provide a look and feel to complement your existing designs, whether that be relaxed and rustic, chic and contemporary or stylish and sophisticated.

Is this range of floating flooring durable for high traffic areas?

Laminate is one of the most durable flooring options on the market, combining the beauty of real timber with a tough protective layer that ensures the floating floorboards stand up to the demands of family living from regular, high impact footfall and animal claws, to moisture and strong sunlight.

As a result, it is ideal for installation in kitchens, living and dining areas, and hallways where traffic tends to be significantly higher than in other areas of the home. As these spaces are also often the largest rooms, it’s important to consider how your floating floors will impact on acoustics and thanks to its long, wide boards, along with its thick 12mm depth, Vue provides a solid sound underfoot.

How are laminate floating floors installed?

For those looking for a completely hassle-free solution, Carpet Court can arrange for one of our flooring experts to lay your laminate floating flooring – simply find your nearest store using our store locator and speak to a team member to arrange a free, in-home measure and quote which will include installation costs.

Alternatively, if you have confidence in your DIY skills doing your own laying is a simple enough project to undertake. Thanks to its innovative 5G InstaClic locking system, floating floorboards can be clicked and locked together, without the need for glue or nails.

Vue Laminate floating floors can be installed over existing floor coverings such as vinyl, cork, ceramic, tiles and timber, however, the flooring must be dry, level and well adhered for perfect results. When installing over another type of flooring it is important to obtain expert installation advice and to follow the manufacturer’s instructions and guidelines to ensure a professional, flawless finish.

How do I clean and maintain this type of laminate floating flooring?

When it comes to cleaning laminate floors, using minimal water is the key to maintaining the original, stunning look of your stylish floating flooring.

Use a soft, indoor broom, a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment or a damp microfiber mop along with the recommended non-abrasive floor cleaning product for laminate flooring on a regular basis to prevent the build-up of dirt, dust and debris. If wet spillages occur, clean them up immediately using a damp cloth and ensure you dry the floor thoroughly afterwards.

Always follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for the care and maintenance of your laminate floating floors.
